The History Trust of South Australia is proud to present South Australia's History Festival.

This is one of South Australia’s largest community events. It promotes the state’s wonderful collections, places and stories through an amazing range of history-related activities. Taking place in our glorious autumnal weather, the History Festival is a time when thousands of South Australians get out and about and make time to explore the rich and diverse stories of our past.

Beginning in 2004 as SA History Week, the festival has grown each year, growing to its current month-long format in 2011. It is now known simply as South Australia's History Festival.

Its popularity and success is due to the hard work and enthusiasm of the event organisers, including thousands of volunteers, who are passionate about sharing our history.

If you'd like to be involved in the History Festival next year, please sign up for our newsletter (at the bottom of the page) or get in touch with the History Trust of South Australia - 08 8203 9888.
