I Spry: the story of Director of ASIO, Charles Spry (Peter Butt, Blackwattle Films)

Award-winning filmmaker Peter Butt will screen I Spry. The story of ASIO’s Colonel Spry that transports us back to the Cold War and one of the most dramatic cases of espionage in Australia's history. What were the links to St Peters, KGB agents, ASIO and communists? On a scorching afternoon in late December 1962, an attractive woman waited outside the St Peters Townhall, a double agent, she was in a clandestine operation to uncover a local ring of Soviet spies interested in Woomera and testing of British missiles. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Peter Butt.
