Celebrating Bush and Colonial Dancing in South Australia 1969-2019

Mitcham Dance, January 2019 (Ron Sweeney)

Dance your way through 50 years with a dash of history at St Peters. A brief talk will outline the development of bush and colonial dancing in Australia since the 1950s. This will be followed by dancing with music by Tamarisque. All dances walked through and called. No experience required, no need for a partner, just casual clothes and flat shoes to step lively across the floor, interrupted only by a delicious afternoon tea. The program of 12-15 dances will comprise a selection popularised by each of South Australia's main folk and heritage dance groups. All welcome.

Bookings essential by phone/email.
