Spirit Medicine

Bernadine Johnson, Medicine Leaves and Seeds

An annual exhibition of artwork by Aboriginal artists to coincide with National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June). Featuring artists from the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands, local Ngarindjeri and Ramindjeri and Central Desert, the exhibition highlights diversity of styles in contemporary Aboriginal art with stories from Aboriginal Men and Women.

Spirit Medicine, curated by the Glenelg Art Gallery for the Circle of Arts Foundation (COAF), offers a beautiful cross-section of artists and a celebration of the harshness, colour and beauty of this Aboriginal land. The exhibition tells of the relationship to Spirit, land, heart and nature.
