Labour in South Australian History

Labour has had great impact in South Australian history; socially, politically and economically, from the first strike on Kangaroo Island to today's 'Change the Rules' industrial campaign. Speakers will explore this theme in conjunction with the audience, showing how labour traditions live in the present and regard the future. Discussion will focus on labouring men and women of all South Australian communities, and emphasise their struggle for wage justice and decent working conditions. Speakers will ask the questions: have we gone backwards recently? and how do we resume our forward progress?
