Gawler and Region Creatures and Critters Photograph Display

See a photographic display including native invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, birds and mammals from Gawler, the Barossa and surrounding regions. Photographs will have identification of the species of animals shown. The display includes pictures of native fauna of the region that have disappeared since European settlement. Some of the historic birds and animals were painted by Elizabeth Gould for John Gould's publications on birds and mammals of Australia. John Gould visited Gawler and surrounding areas in 1839 recording and collecting birds and mammals.
