10th Solar Art Prize: Caring for the Planet

Solar Art logo (Pip Fletcher)

Frustration with government disregard for scientific warnings to take meaningful action against climate change led to the formation of the annual Solar Art Prize – Caring for Our Planet (SAP). Launched at the RSASA with winners receiving vouchers from Natural Technology Systems for solar products and batteries. The first SAP was held in 2010 with a forum of six experts explaining climate change, problems and possible solutions. A booklet Ways we can meet the challenge of Climate Change launched in 2014. In 2016, schools were included. The 10th SAP will be opened by Claire Peddie, Science Journalist for the Advertiser.
