An 1800s Street of History

Interpretive plaque and mosaic planter, Main Street, Nairne (Annette Gladigau)

Discover the beautiful historic Adelaide Hills town of Nairne established in 1839. Visit the Nairne Museum housed in the original Institute built in 1904. From the museum, take a guided or self-guided walking tour and view the many old buildings in the Nairne Main Street. Stop to chat with 'long time' local residents to hear their memories of the past. A number of the old Main Street buildings will be open over the Open Doors Weekend 27-28 April.

Bookings essential for guided tours. Book by phone/email.
