Living in Henley and Grange

Henley & Grange Soldiers Memorial (Henley & Grange Historical Society)

Henley and Grange began as a narrow strip of housing along the coast, often isolated from the rest of Adelaide by flooding creeks and swamp lands. With the arrival of trams and trains, it became a thriving seaside resort and a popular beach destination, leading to more and more development. This exhibition documents the many phases of Henley and Grange, and the continuing changes to its housing, businesses and community. The display will be held in the Henley and Grange Soldiers Memorial, giving visitors a rare opportunity to look inside the building and admire the beautiful stained glass window.
