Art Deco Treasures in the Adelaide CBD

Headquarters of former Savings Bank of SA (Fran Smith)

Join the Adelaide Chapter of the Art Deco & Modernism Society of Australia for a walking tour of Adelaide buildings in the Art Deco style. Art Deco was a global design phenomenon in the years between WWI and WWII and influenced everything from architecture, transport, industrial design, art and fashion. Find out what architectural features to look for and where to find them – and why we encourage you to 'look up and smile'. Walk is at a moderate pace, beginning in Synagogue Place and finishing in Hindley Street, and takes approximately 2 hours.
