Jeff Nicholas KJSJ, author of a recently released three volume set of books entitled Behind the Streets of Adelaide: A Pantheon of Dissent, has offered to be a guest speaker at regional venues during the 2017 History Festival.
If you are interested in hosting a talk by Jeff at your venue, please contact us at the History Trust, and we will pass on your details to Jeff.
Dr Nicholas counts himself as a quintessential South Australian largely because in his 76 years in this State he has lived in Mt Gambier, Karoonda, Terowie, Yongala, Peterborough, Rudall, Magill, Blackwood, Rostrevor and West Lakes Shore. He has also had property at Yankalilla, and Carrickalinga; and he has an affinity with Jamestown, Clare, Undalya, Auburn and Saddleworth where his GGGrandfather was a livestock agent and Keeper of the Hounds in the 1860s.
During the 2017 History Festival he is prepared to give back to some of these communities by offering to be a guest speaker about the men and women who he has come to know so well and whose lives are described in his books on the Adelaide Streets.
